As the bus departs from the historic city of York, travelers are in for a real treat.

Byland Castle, a majestic medieval ruin, stands as a testament to Yorkshire's rich history. Explore the remnants of this once-grand structure, imagining the tales of knights and royalty that echo through its stones. The panoramic views from the castle grounds provide a stunning backdrop of the surrounding countryside.

Helmsley
The bus then makes its way to Helmsley, a market town with an aristocratic flair. Helmsley Castle, with its imposing ruins, invites visitors to step back in time. Wander through the charming streets, lined with boutique shops and traditional tearooms.

Hutton le Hole, a postcard-worthy village, welcomes travelers with its thatched cottages and a babbling brook. This quintessential English village exudes tranquility. Stroll along the village green, admire the picturesque scenery, and perhaps enjoy a cup of tea in a traditional tearoom.

Whitby Abbey and Beyond:
As the bus approaches Whitby, anticipation builds. The iconic Whitby Abbey stands proudly on the cliffs, offering a dramatic welcome. Explore the cobbled streets, visit the bustling harbor, and feel the seaside charm that inspired literary classics. Whitby's fusion of history, culture, and coastal allure is unparalleled.

Goathland, known as Aidensfield in the television series "Heartbeat," immerses visitors in a nostalgic journey. The village retains its timeless appeal, with stone cottages and a quaint train station. Take a moment to absorb the ambiance that transported viewers into the fictional world of the Yorkshire Dales.
The station itself is best known as Hogsmead Station in the first Harry Potter films. You can break up the tour and travel by train from Whitby via Gromont to Goathland (50 mins) where we will pick you up and carry on the journey. Tickets can be booked via www.nymr.co.uk and are available from late March to early November.
