Day Trip To Whitby

Our day trip to Whitby, gives you the chance to enjoy the rolling countryside and beauty of the North Yorkshire Moors, whilst giving you all day to explore the coastal town in full, without feeling pushed for time. 
Climb the 199 steps to Whitby Abbey, visit the Captain Cook Museum, and enjoy fish and chips in the world famous Magpie Cafe.

Departure from York

Our adventure usually begins around 8.30am as we leave York, and head for the countryside. 

Stopover in Pickering


Arriving in Pickering, you're welcomed by the town's charm. With cobbled streets and a warm atmosphere, Pickering offers a delightful break and a chance to stretch your legs and enjoy a cup of tea in a local cafe.

Yorkshires Coastal Beauty

Arriving in Whitby, you're greeted by the breathtaking sight of the North Sea meeting the cliffs. The iconic Whitby Abbey stands proudly, overlooking the town.

Uncover the layers of history that define Whitby. From its Viking roots to its prominence in the whaling industry, the town's narrative is as diverse as its architecture. Explore the narrow alleys, Whitby Jet shops and local pubs.

Exploring Whitby's Local Attractions

Discover Whitby's attractions, including the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, St. Mary's Church, and the Whitby Museum.  For lunch it has to be Fish and Chips at the Magpie cafe, then take a stroll along the pier or relax on the beach.
